Introducing the Power Plays Podcast!
This week we talk WNBA All-Star, Women's World Cup, and the end of the PHF.
Hi, friends! I have super exciting news! Today, I’m officially launching the Power Plays podcast — a weekly show dedicated to the latest news in women’s sports.
Every week I’m going to give you a run-down of results from across the women’s sports world, and bring in special guests to dive deep into the most important stories. Additionally, paid subscribers will get an extended interview with a guest every week — an exclusive way to hear from some of the most prominent voices in women’s sports, on and off the field.
In the first episode, I’m joined by Ari Chambers to talk about WNBA All-Star weekend and preview the second half of the season. Then, Courtney Stith of Diaspora United joins to break down the USWNT and look at its chances in the World Cup, which starts this week! Finally, Hailey Salvian of The Athletic helps break down s seismic off-ice moves in the world of women's hockey.
Paid subscribers will get to hear Stith break down the rest of the Women’s World Cup field and help us plan our TV-watching schedule. ***Paid subscribers will get instructions shortly telling you how to access that episode, so keep an eye on your inboxes.***
Here is the link to the public RSS feed. It might be tomorrow, July 19, before it is publicly listed on your podcast app of choice. I will send a message through my twitter account, the Power Plays Instagram, and the Substack app when it becomes available on Apple podcasts.
For years I’d been hoping someone would launch a news podcast focused solely on women’s sports that could help me keep up with the most important results and stories. Finally, I decided to just create the podcast myself.
Starting something new is incredibly nerve-wracking. But friends? Let’s do this.

I'm so excited for this podcast. I just launched a newsletter and I already have a pod, so I know how much work all of this is.
