Hi, friends.
Well, I’m just going to jump right to it: It’s that time of year again where I ask for your help to keep Power Plays going.
For the past four (!!) years, you all have supported me as I live my dream and cover women’s sports full time, without a safety net in sight. Together, we’ve built an incredible community and helped change the narrative about women’s sports. I’m grateful, proud, and more excited than ever for the future of this newsletter. I truly feel like we’re just getting started.
But it’s been a tough year, and running an independent publication is more challenging than ever. To keep Power Plays going, I need to grow at least 15 percent by the end of the year, which means I need to add about 130 paid subscribers.
That’s a big, scary goal, but I know that we can do it.
To help us get there, I’m offering a discount of 33% off through the end of the year, which brings annual subscription rates to about $48 per year, forever!!
Here’s how you can help:

Here’s my PayPal
Occasionally, people ask if there are ways to help Power Plays without purchasing a full subscription. So, I’m dropping my PayPal link below! I’ll add any PayPal donations together and convert them into donated subscriptions. Click this button:
There are free ways to help, too!
If you can’t financially support us right now, trust me, I get it. (More than you know.) You can always help Power Plays by subscribing to the free e-mail list, sharing any Power Plays posts you like on social media, and leaving a comment (or sending me an email) telling me what you like about Power Plays, so I can use that in a testimonial!
Finally, here are a few pieces from this year that I’m proud of.
When you support Power Plays, this is the type of work that you are supporting:
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here.
Lindsay! I want to give you more money, but if I click the donate a subscription link, it won’t process a payment, saying I need to log in (but doesn’t give me a way to log in) and if i log into my account separately and try to gift a subscription, I have to give a particular email address to gift to. What am I doing wrong? [insert futurama shut up and take my money meme here]
