“Sometimes, I admit, it’s hard for me to feel sympathy for players who chose to play for Mulkey. After all, they knew — or, at least, should have known — who Mulkey was before they went to play for her.”

I also have the same feeling and also wonder, if I were in the same shoes, I would swallow my misgivings for a chance to be a national champ. Sigh. We really shouldn’t accept gross behavior (openly coughing and being sarcastic about infecting others) because that person is a good coach.

Thank you for doing this newsletter. I love having a space dedicated to women's sports. I mostly follow basketball, so I like learning about what is happening in other sports.

This is such great perspective on what is happening in the bayou. When Van Lith and Morrow transferred to LSU, I thought there would be drama because there were too many players who want double doubles. I never thought there would be something going on with Angel Reese. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Mulkey is going to Mulkey. I cannot understand why anyone would play for her, especially women of color.
